Bullies Bully Because They Have Issues

I was shy, I had no self-confidence and no sense of self-worth. In short, I was a perfect target for bullies. For the longest time, I thought there must really be something wrong with me. Why couldn’t these people just leave me in peace? I wasn’t hurting anyone.

In the intervening years, I came to understand that bullies seek to hurt others because of their own insecurities, hurts and fears. They believe that pointing the finger at another’s shortcomings will somehow mitigate their own.

Once I understood that, it was easier to forgive these unhappy people and move on with becoming the person God intended me to be.

You Are Okay Just the Way You Are

It’s so easy to compare yourself to others and feel that you just don’t measure up. Just be the best you you can be. That’s all God expects from you. If others think otherwise, that’s their issue, not yours.
